Workshop Prerequisites:

  • Applicants must be a graduate from CSNN.
  • Graduates must have completed the updated NN110A Lifecycle - Pediatric, utilizing the textbook: Sprout Right Family Food (978-0735236059). Course revised March 2022.

Practitioners may earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs).  Upon achieving a minimum grade of 80% in a workshop students will receive credit log indicating the number of credits and CEUs which they have earned.  Graduates must receive a grade of 80% or higher in both (AN122A and AN112B) workshops to receive the Advanced Pediatric Certificate.

AN122A Pediatric Symptomatology (Part 1)

CSNN’s unique LAF & NSP forms are important tools needed to accurately assess clients. The new Pediatric LAF & NSP forms were developed using the same principles. In this course, students will learn how to use these intake forms, and will develop motivational interviewing skills when consulting families, parents, and children. Students will also learn the legal implications surrounding these consultations and will learn the importance of working with other health care professionals.

AN122B Childhood Epidemic Health Issues: Allergies, Asthmas, Obesity, and Learning Disorders (Part 2)

Some childhood health issues are growing at alarming rates. This course explores the root issues and factors in allergies, asthma, learning disorders and obesity. Students will gain an understanding of these conditions, and how some of these conditions may be interrelated. Students will learn the role of holistic nutrition in relation to these health issues, and how to make recommendations that support children.

Timeline Terms:

A $30.00 + 14.975% qst/gst per month subscription fee is charged automatically to individuals that have not fulfilled completion requirements beyond their timeline. Students can opt out of this subscription fee by contacting CSNN Distance Education’s administrative office before their end-date.
 
Students who opt out of this subscription will not be able to access the online platform beyond their timeline. Extensions are available to purchase up to 90-days beyond the student’s end-date, beyond which time the file will be archived.

  • Prices are quoted in Canadian Dollars. We accept, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Cheques, Money Orders or by E-Transfer (if paying by cheque or money order, please make sure funds are in Canadian Dollars).
